Privacy Policy

Piksey is an app for sharing your Walt Disney World memories with friends and collecting stamps along the way. It's run by Lonz LLC ("Piksey", "we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run the app, and how you can see or delete your information. The short version: we collect what the app needs to work, we don't sell your information, we don't show ads, and we don't track you across other apps or websites.
What we collect
Your account
- Email address, to send you sign-in codes and, rarely, important messages about your account. If you sign in with Apple, Apple gives us an email address (which can be a private relay address that forwards to you) and, the first time only, your name.
- Username, display name, bio and profile photo (if you add one), which other people see on your passport and next to your memories and comments.
- Your settings, such as whether your account is private and who new memories are shared with.
What you post
- Memories: the place, what you did, your caption, the date of your visit, who can see it, and friends you tag.
- Photos and short clips (up to 30 seconds). We shrink them before upload. The copies we store don't keep the location or other details your camera saved in the original file.
- Comments and likes on memories.
Location
- Where a photo was taken. When you post, the app reads the location and time saved in your photo only to decide whether the memory gets the Verified badge (a photo taken at that place, that day). We keep the badge, not the location.
- Where you are. If you allow it, the app uses your location while you're writing a memory to suggest the ride, restaurant or shop you're at. It's used only while the app is open, and we don't store it or keep a history of where you've been.
Friends and the game
- Who you follow, who follows you, follow requests, and people you block.
- Your XP, level, stamps, streaks, stats (such as park days and rides) and leaderboard standing, which we work out from your memories. People who can see your memories can see your stats, and friends who follow you can see where you stand. You can leave leaderboards, including Regulars on place pages, any time.
- Your wish list of places you want to visit, which only you can see.
- Reports you send about memories, comments or people. The person you report isn't told who reported them.
Notifications
- If you turn on notifications, a push token for your phone, so we can tell you about likes, comments, follows, tags and new stamps. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
We don't collect your contacts, and we don't use advertising identifiers, third-party analytics or ad networks.
How we use it
- To run Piksey: signing you in, showing your memories to the people you choose, working out XP, stamps and streaks, and sending the notifications you've turned on.
- To keep Piksey safe: reviewing reports, removing content that breaks our Terms, and stopping abuse.
- To fix problems and make the app better, using error logs from our service providers.
Who can see what
Memories are public by default, so anyone with a Piksey account can see them unless your account is private. You can share any memory with followers only, or make that your default. A private account means only people you approve see your memories. Your username, display name, bio and profile photo are visible to everyone. People you block, and people who block you, can't see your profile or memories.
Our team can see reported content, and any memory, when that's needed to review a report or keep Piksey safe.
Who helps us run Piksey
We use a few service providers. They handle your information only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase hosts our database, sign-in and photo storage, in the United States.
- Cloudflare stores video clips.
- Expo and Apple deliver push notifications to your phone.
We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising. We may disclose information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, or as part of a sale or merger of Piksey, in which case this policy continues to apply.
Place names and details, wait times and park hours in the app come from ThemeParks.wiki and OpenStreetMap, and the weather comes from the US National Weather Service. We don't send any of them your information.
How long we keep it
If you signed in with Apple, deleting your account also tells Apple to disconnect Piksey from your Apple ID.
We keep your information while you have an account. When you delete a memory, its photos and clips are deleted too. When you delete your account (Passport → Delete account), we delete your profile, profile photo, memories, photos, clips, comments, likes, follows, wish list, stamps and XP right away. Copies may remain in our providers' encrypted backups for up to 30 days before they're overwritten. Reports about you may be kept so we can keep Piksey safe.
Your choices and rights
- See and change your profile and settings in the app, under Passport → Edit profile.
- Delete any memory or comment, or your whole account, in the app.
- Get a copy of your information, or ask us anything about it, by emailing hello@piksey.app.
- Turn off location access or notifications in your phone's settings at any time. Piksey keeps working without them.
Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU), you may have further rights, such as to object to or limit how we use your information. Email us and we'll help within the time the law allows. We don't sell or "share" personal information as California law defines it.
Children
Piksey is for people 13 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has an account, email us and we'll delete it.
Security
Your information is sent over encrypted connections and stored with providers that encrypt it at rest. Memory photos and clips are private files that the app shows only to people allowed to see them, using links that expire. Profile photos are public, like your username. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your email account safe, since it's how you sign in.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
